Yeah, that's what I was about to say. How is this ruining our future? Both are 28

Yeah I was about to say that Artest still isn't 30. And I seriously doubt the Mavs care about the future since they traded Harris for Kidd. lol And the Kings first isnt that good, its like 12 0r 13.

I didnt realize Howard was that old, it seems Artest has been in the league much longer then he has....

But seriously Maple would you want this trade? you guys dont need Artest, but you need Howard. And Artest hasnt improved over the years like Howard has, theres no telling how good he'll be.

The furture is something to look at, they wont win the west with those guys as their top three, and Howard would fit the Kidd system so much better...

And 12 or 13 would be a lottery pick and as deep as the draft is this year, the first 20 picks will be big name players. I would say thats a good pick.

BTW we don't have a first this year.... we have one next year though.

Also, YES I would want him. He would fill SO many things that are missing on this team. I mean he's a top 5 defender in the NBA, plus he'll give you 15-20 a night, and brings as much mental toughness as you can desire. Howard is just meh. I mean he's good, but to get Artest I'd go all for it.

I would LOVE this.

PF- Dirk
SF- Artest
SG- JET
PG- Kidd

Wow, that team could do some damage, and plus it's a much more mentally tough strong team which we have lacked the last couple of years

I agree Artest would do well in Dallas and a JH5 for Artest trade would probably be a good one. They would improve much more defensively, but they would still need a lowpost presence at C and a decent SG. The Mavs have a long ways to go.
Terry is a decent SG.

But I think you guys know where I stand on this trade. But for the second half of this year, Howard gets better every year, but we haven't seen Artest progress as fast as Howard.

I doubt anything happens. The Kings always get rumored for <Censored> and it never happens. <_<

I totally agree with you there. I don't know how many times I heard Bibby and/or Artest was coming to Miami ever since 2006, nothing ever went there and nothing will. The only thing that happened was Bibby to Atlanta <_<

Meh Artest maybe as young as JH5, but has been in the league a few years longer. Artest has really no room to improve, JH5 does.

Wouldn't that also mean that Artest is more experienced and JH5 is slow at developing? Since they are both the same age I know I'd rather have Artest. Both are nut cases though, one with drugs the other with legal problems.

No because Artest has been around 4 extra years, you won't get much better after 8 years in the NBA. JH5 has only been in the NBA 4 years.

Artest and Howard as equally good IMO anyways. Just play different.

Whoever scores the most points means their defense held the team to LESS points.

Defense wins championships :)

Or if it was like the Nuggets vs. the Warriors, who's offense scores more. Each team could score on every possesion, whoever has more possesions wins.

Either way for those other 4 years it's not like JH5 was just sitting around eating crap. He was playing as much basketball as Artest was in the NBA. If anything, your getting more out of Artest than JH5, especially defensively.

Only because a few stops from the defense allowed them to have more points.
Could of been a steal, forced turnover, block, or just a plain rebound off a miss. They won't score EVERY time, you would have to let them score, by moving out of the way.
