I'm pretty sure there are rules prohibiting teams from signing players to an "extension" and then trading them.

No there isn't...its called a sign and trade and it happens alot.

No that rule is for newly aquired or signed players. You have to wait awhile to trade a player you newly aquired.

I think you can only do a sign and trade when a player on your team's contract runs out. you can't give him an extension and then trade him because he could just work out the extension with the team he is traded to.

Why the heck do you put One. after everything you say???? And Gil probably passes more and better than Kobe, cause he's a PG and is supposed to pass the ball and get the play going....which Kobe handles the ball probably more than the PGs on his team.

Gilbert used to play shooting gaurd in college.
You can tell by the way he plays he gets 6 apg but he stills shoots first... Just like Kobe.
