"Rasheed Wallace still believes the Pistons are the team to beat.

When asked if the Pistons are the favorite to win the Eastern Conference, Wallace told the Boston Herald, "That's how we feel about it. "All those teams made changes to try and get with us -- Boston, Chicago -- all those teams are trying to catch up with us. I am not worried about what they do. I am confident here with this camp."

Wallace showed up to training camp some 25 pounds lighter this season".

I do have to agree with that.
The Pistons have had 6 straight 50+ win seasons.
Made 5 straight Eastern Confrence Finals.
And all the other teams in the East are basecally just trying to get better obvisouly to be the Champs but they all know and a lot of the players have said the Pistons are the team to beat.

When was the last time you actually won the East? Get back on top, then tell me you're the best and I'll listen. As far as I know, the champs are the champs until knocked off, and the Cavaliers are the reigning Eastern Conference Champions. I don't wanna hear any "we didn't play are hardest" crap because that's bull. No team in a series tied 2-2 doesn't play their hardest. All that 6 straigh 50 wins etc means nothing, because they haven't been in the Finals since 2005! And they won't get there this year either...

The Pistons could be the team to beat this year. We have devloping young talent, and great depth this season. Our problem last postseason was the starters getting tired. Now that we have depth they can rest up so during the season.
