http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=tenTennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young isn't saying play me or trade me, but he's coming pretty close.

In an interview with Baltimore's WMAR-TV, Young said if he doesn't win back his starting job, he wants to move on. The problem is that Kerry Collins is still the starter.

"I definitely want to get back out there playing ball and picking up where I left off, winning games and having a good time with my teammates and with the fans," Young said, according to the television station. "At the same time, if them guys don't want me to be in there, it's time for me to make a career change for myself. Because the fact is I'm ready to play ball. If they're not ready for me to play ball, then somebody is."

The former rookie of the year suffered a knee injury in the first game of the season last year. Veteran Kerry Collins stepped in and remained the starter for the remainder of the year, leading the Titans to a 13-3 record and the playoffs.

Young's season was further marred by an incident after that first game against Jacksonville in which the quarterback was reported missing. He was later found and there was some question as to his state of mind.

This offseason, Titans coach Jeff Fisher said that Young would have to unseat Collins as the starter.

"I'm still focused, staying focused," Young said, according to WMAR. "I got a lot of people that look up to me. I got a lot of fans that love me and want to see me back out on the football field."

It was going to happen sooner or later, who wants to spend their prime years sitting behind Kerry Collins? expecially after he's been a starter and proved he can play?

I understand both sides, Collins led them to wins, and Young wants to play now. Will be interesting to see what will happens... I would love to see Vince in one of those wildcat formations though

All Vince has to do is win his job back during camp. Hell, all anybody has to do is perform better than the next guy to win a job.

Problem with today's high-profile athletes is they'd rather cop-out, hold out & demand trades as opposed to putting forth the work & effort.

Young has been one of my favorite football players since the day he signe with the longhorns, problem is he is in way over his head when you believe you should start over a guy who led the team to be one of the best in the league

Young lost his job the same way a ton of young quarterbacks do. Not performing, take a back-seat & watch a veteran go out there and lead. Young should of learned a lot about himself & the game while watching Collins on the field.

I think Vince would of had his job back prior to the start of last season but he went through that "head-case" phase, was talking about early retirement & suddenly Jeff Fisher loses all confidence in him. I mean Collins is old & doesn't have too much left in the tank. All Vince has to do is be patient, continue to work & prove that he is ready to re-take the spot.

The Titans haven't held Young back in any way. Vince Young has held Vince Young back.

Exactly. If anyone's to blame, it's himself.

I still think Young has the tools to be a good QB in the league. But it just seems like every season that is becoming more and more unlikely.

Both sides have a solid case to why they should start. Collins showed he still has something left, and Young had an outstanding rookie season few years back, and is still in his prime, and shouldn`t be sitting behind Collins. I`d like to see Vince play sometime soon, for whatever team that may be, who knows, but I hope he plays soon. He is a great talent.

He won't get traded, no one wants that contract. Young will have to wait for Kerry to retire or get hurt.
