Yankees right-hander Domingo German will not pitch in another major-league game in either the 2019 regular season or postseason, Buster Olney of ESPN reports.

German was placed on administrative leave Thursday under the joint MLB-MLBPA domestic violence policy and was also placed on the restricted list. Under the policy, a player can remain on leave for up to seven days unless the league and the players' union agree to an extension.

The right-hander is under investigation for allegedly slapping his girlfriend at some point between late Monday night and early Tuesday morning.

German, 27, could face a significant suspension, major-league sources told Andy Martino of SNY.

Not good news for the Yankees in the playoffs. They might need him to go very far.

It's hard for me even as a Yankee fan for the first thing to come to mind is the Yanks being fucked without him, because fuck this POS. If he's doing this shit in public just imagine how he must be when he isn't.

Severino looked good in his debut, 4 innings was more I was even expecting, so hopefully he keeps the momentum going tomorrow...keep getting stretched out..and then he becomes the Game 3 starter. Give us at least 5 innings of Severino baseball during the playoffs and let the pen take over...Even though he hasn't been great in the postseason under normal circumstances before this I'll be optimistic if he looks like himself this week.

Having to rely on Happ now though...no confidence there
