With Tony Romo behind center, Cowboys believe they can win out

The standings don't matter for the Dallas Cowboys right now. Just like beating the Miami Dolphins didn't mean anything the minute the game ended Sunday afternoon.
The players understand they have little margin for error in their last six games, so there wasn't much jubilation in the locker room after their 24-14 win.
Tony Romo wandered around the locker room shaking hands and handing out words of encouragement, and several players sat at their lockers smiling after the end of the club's longest losing streak in 26 years.

If they beat Carolina this Thursday, anything is possible, but if they lose, and they likely will, it's over.

What's unfortunate for Dallas is NYG likely has an easy 6th win this Sunday if they show up to play, but that's never a guarantee.

You're probably right but the difference between Tony Romo and backups is that Tony Romo can extend drives and shorten the game. He's not giving Cam nearly as many opportunities to score as either Cassel or Weeden would have. This should be a good game unless his teammates implode around him.

I think this game will actually be really close in comparison to what chances you all are giving Dallas. This is the same Panthers team that went to OT with the atrocious Colts earlier this season.

I think the game will be decided in the fourth, and possibly by a FG at the end.

^Nearly every good team in the history of the has closer-than-should-be matchups during their 16 game season. I wouldn't worry too much about that Colts score.

Carolina is the real deal and there's no question about that. Their weakness is in depth at certain positions (much like Dallas). There are a lot guys they simply can't lose--Cam, Olsen, Norman, Kuechly, Davis--the Cats would be shit out of luck without any of those guys, and if they ever lose a pair of their pass rushers, their pass rush would completely disappear.
