Given his five-interception performance, we're tempted to look up the passer rating of young Mark Sanchez after the New York Jets' loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

8.3. Ouch.

Jets coach Rex Ryan indicated after the loss that he's sticking by "The Sanchise", but Rich Cimini of the New York Daily News writes that backup Kellen Clemens might be getting some extra reps in practice this week.

Sanchez is obviously the future of the team at QB, but we won't be surprised to hear more calls for Clemens if the growing pains continue for the California boy as fall turns to winter.

I don't think its going to happen for a number of reasons:

1. Sanchez is the future. You want him to get through these troubles. Benching him now will only halt his progress.

2. Did Cimini see Clemens in the preseason? Guy was awful, and that was against backup defenses.

No way, if he did I wouldn't watch the game.

If Sanchez keeps playing poorly then I think Ryan will give him a shot even if Sanchez is the future of this team.

Well, you guys play Oakland so he should have a pretty good game. Oakland's defense is definitely the strongest side of the ball for them though, no doubt. He's learning, I'm sure he will be fine. Still isn't the Matt Ryan of last year though, lol. ;) I like Sanchez, hope he does bounce back.

Well before that last game, he was easily comparable to Matt Ryan. Regardless, I don't see how you're gonna say he should have a pretty good game. They have arguably the best cornerback in the league. It'll be a tough out, but hopefully he'll be able to do good.

I say if the JEts fall behind the BILLS and land 4th in the division Clemens is coming off the bench.

I always thought Sanchez was overrated, for crying out loud he only played a season in USC, i mean come on its USC i feel he might be the Joey Harrington of the draft class.

If he plays. Nnamdi didn't play against Philly.
