Andrew Wiggins wants to play for the Toronto Raptors.
That was what next year's top draft prospect said Tuesday after accepting the Gatorade High School Athlete of the Year award.
Asked if the NBA draft were tomorrow which team he thought would draft him, the Toronto native said his hometown.
"I would like to say the Raptors," Wiggins told a reporter. "I want to play for them."
Wiggins' award has him amongst elite names to be honoured, including LeBron James, Dwight Howard and Kevin Love.
The 18-year-old Wiggins is bound for the University of Kansas, where he hopes to deliver the Jayhawks a national championship.

Cavs landed LeBron. Bulls landed Rose.

Get in the lottery, and you never know lol.

I literally have no clue why they are trying to win. Trade everyone but Jonas and sit him out the entire year with a chest cold.

We can always wait like 7-8 years for him lol. Or maybe we'll luck out somehow this year and suck enough to have a chance. Player like Wiggins is what the franchise has been waiting for... would turn Toronto basketball around.

He's gonna play in Toronto eventually. He's a pretty big Raptors fan.

Man, Id like to see Wiggins in Toronto. It be great for the league to keep the hometown guy there. Then in 7 years he can leave his hometown team like LeBron did.
