Why do you love sports?

We all have our reasons for loving sports. What's your reason? why do you love sports? 
 
I love sports because it's a way for me to escape from the real world for a few hours to enjoy a game. The excitement and thrill of it. I also love it because it brings people together to have a (usually) good time!

Being from Buffalo I was born into it. All Buffalo really has are chicken wings, the Sabres and the Bills. Everybody there lives for this shit.
 
I personally love it for the camaraderie. Nothing like being at a Bills/Sabres game or sports bar and you start jumping around and hugging random people that you don't know. Love it. Gives me chills.
 
That's also what I love so much about hockey. It's like the players aren't just teammates, but brothers ... one of the boys. Feel like there's no other sport that has that type of camaraderie between it's players.

i honestly do not know. started playing basketball at 12 and kinda watched it my whole life prior to playing and then i just started eayching football and baseball.

It's something to talk about and there's nothing more fun than following a team. 
 
Honestly, when football comes... the best talk at my office or at school or most times is when it's about sports.
