Why did ray Allen's athleticism disappear?

Most people don't realize he was really athletic as a Buck, and was even in the dunk contest. Why did it disappear so quickly

He's pretty much working on one leg. Not exactly ideal for "athleticism".

because he realized he could get his shot off anywhere, no matter what. no need to have a two-way offensive game if your shot is that lethal.
