Are you the more traditional type and like to use AVG, OBP, HR, RBI etc or do you like to use wOBA, WAR, wRC+

Which offensive and pitching stats are your favorites?

I like OBP and HR but in general favor advanced stats and I like looking at situational splits more than just total number of RBIs.

For both pitchers and hitters there are great advanced stats now like K%, BB%, percentages for line drives vs grounders vs flyballs, percentages for soft contact vs medium vs hard hit balls, BABIP which can help predict regression to the mean if it's abnormally high or low, ISO power is interesting although debatable if it's betting than slugging percentage...

Just in general I love looking up players on fangraphs not just looking up their stats, although I actually like the situational splits that ESPN shows more than the fangraphs ones because it also considers by # of outs not just bases empty/men on based/RISP

Personally, I'm an old-school guy that likes to see what the players can do in the field. I use my eyes more than stats to determine who is good and who is not. I do understand stats, but like the way the stat-guy was played in the movie Trouble with the Curve. Going only by stats is a mistake
