what happens if conor does lose again to nate? how much value does his name hold? even if he beats josé after, what other talent could he be trusted to go out and beat? he can sell a fight, but will real fans care as much?

I wonder how different the first fight would have been had Conor not tried swinging for the fences the entire first round.

Yeah he should be swinging for heads instead of the fences

If he loses to Diaz again, he's done in any division outside 145 or 155 and to be honest, the hype will be nearly diminished for his fights afterwards. They'll still sell, but everything he says I'll personally think he's just spouting off bullshit. The reason I like him so much is because I actually believed the shit he said and he made me believe he was untouchable. That went away after the loss to Diaz, and another one would basically just put the nail in the coffin.

But, I got him winning this next fight.

thats how i feel too. even if he wins, and loses to josé, it comes off that he cant be trusted to beat top competition. wont be good for him or the ufc.

I think if he loses this weekend, his value goes down significantly. Sure he'll be able to fight Jose again, but the hype just won't be there like it was last time. It would feel like a consolation championship
