what is the more important stat for a rb?

yards per game? or yards per carry?

would you rather a rb who gets you 100 yards on 3.7 ypc?

or a rb who gets you 85 yards on 4.5 ypc?

Probably 85 yards on 4.5 ypc.

In my opinion YPC set everything up.

yards per carry matters more, but only when its on like 10+ carries.

Like I'll take a guy who had 15 carries for 85 yards over a guy who has 95 yards on 22 carries.

Plus, when your RB is averaging 4.5 ypc you can do a lot more. It's not forcing you into 3rd and longs.

Definately yards per carry. If your running back has 4.5 ypc, rather than 3.7 ypc, it changes your gameplan. Let`s say, it`s 1st & 15 & you run it for 3 yards. It`s now 2 & 10, than you run it for 3, than 2, your punting it on 4th & 7. Now, if it`s 1st & 15 and you run for 5 yards, than 6, than 5, boom you`ve got a first down, and keep the drive alive and their defense on the field.
