What team/player has surprised you the most so far this season? (in a good or bad way)

I honestly didn't expect the White Sox/Mariners to be this good, and I expected the Astros to be a lot better.

I didn't expect Ortiz to be hitting as well as he is in his last season

I did not expect the White Sox to be so dominant.  I also knew the Cubs would be good, but this much is insane!

Came here to say this. I expected the Cubs to be the best team in the league, but not 19 games over .500 in May.

Mat Latos and Kenta Maeda.

Although Latos has a 4 something FIP, Maeda has been really great.

Cubs, White Sox, Red Sox, David Price, Mat Latos, and all the grand slams. There is a lot more but just a few.

Why are you surprised by the Cubs? Just wondering.

They have been way more dominant than I thought honestly.

Didn't think Justin Upton would be this bad (obviously).

I figured he'd struggle with the league switch but I never thought he'd strike out 40% of the time, stop walking, and look completely lost at the plate.

The interesting thing is that his stats are pretty much the same as last year (contact %, outside swing %, inside swing %) etc

Shelby Miller's insanely bad start. Hopefully he's worked out the kinks now.
