So this is the big off-season move(s) Artie Moreno promised? If I'm an Angels fan right now...I'm extremely pissed at this organizations complete lack of competence. What is it with the Angels and wanting to pack their outfield full of overpaid veterans?

Amazing deal for the Jays. They could've got a pet rock in exchange and it would still be a steal. Getting rid of a massive & expensive JP Riccardi fuck up, this easy, NIIIIICE.

I think this is going to be even more of a steal because I think Rivera is going to have a bounce back year for the Jays.

angels do gain defensively i guess
though torri wasnt a bad CF even at this age
they only moved him to RF because they have this prospect who is insanely fast and gold glove calibur

past 3 years, vernon and rivera are pretty similar actually. obviously vernon is better, but not worth taking on the contract. he wasnt substantially better
