From realgm.com
A league source said on Sunday that Anderson Varejao intends to opt out of the final year of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

Varejao had a tempestuous negotiation with the Cavaliers as a restricted free agent, but they will also be able to go over the salary cap to keep him.

He tried to sign with the Bobcats last year, so unless the Cavs are willing to overpay him, or he's had a change of heart, he's gone.

Really shouldnt matter though, "The Flop" isnt that big a contributor to the cavs success IMO

He had good play in the last series, but couldnt really guard anyone, I'd let him go.

I don't want him back even if he took the minimum. His terrible basketball IQ doesn't make up for his flops and rebounds.

Completely off-topic but alrighty...

Amir was the 57th overall pick in the draft, it's not like we expected him to be the next Garnett or something. He is like 22, chill. If he actually got playing time it'd be a different story I'm sure.

No, Amir isn't good. BUT if he got Anderson type time.. I would say otherwise lol.
I'm just saying he's still NBA talent.

Didn't say he didn't. I just hate him. He is good for flopping and rebounding. And the occasional dunk because of LeBron's playmaking ability.

He would blow ass on just about any other team.
