Ty Lawson Suspended Two Games and Reportedly on Trade Block

The NBA announced a two-game suspension for Ty Lawson on Friday; the 28-year-old point guard pled guilty to a DUI bust this past summer:
Houston Rockets’ guard Ty Lawson has been suspended for two games without pay for driving while ability impaired, in violation of the law of the State of Colorado, the NBA announced today. […] Lawson’s suspension will begin with tomorrow night’s game between the Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Lawson has reportedly worn out his welcome in Houston—rumor has it that the Rockets are looking to dump the seven-year veteran mere months after acquiring him via a trade with the Denver Nuggets.
Lawson is averaging a career low of 5.9 points and 4.2 assists in 26 games.
Per Yahoo! Sports:
The Rockets’ front office has been cooperating with Lawson’s representatives in exploring possible deals to bring back some measure of return on the organization’s original investment in Lawson, league sources said.

Lawson relinquished the $13.2 million player option on his 2016-17 contract to clear the way for Houston to acquire him from the Denver Nuggets in July. Because Lawson has struggled to find a way to play off the ball with star James Harden on the floor, the organization and Lawson’s representatives are moving toward cutting short this experiment, league sources said.

Houston gave up four players and a future draft pick in the deal with Denver, although the Nuggets ultimately released all four players. Because of protections on the 2016 conditional first-round pick sent to the Nuggets, the selection would turn into a second-rounder in 2016 should the Rockets miss the playoffs. The Rockets also sent a 2017 second-round pick as part of the deal.

His struggles are not surprising. The fit was never there

There is no fit for any player when one of their teammates is James Harden.

You picked the Rockets to the finals
And I also said Lawson was a poor fit when the deal happened.

Rockets need a strong defensive minded PG who can spot up from three and the ability to put the ball on the floor if his defender closes out hard.
