I'm not saying he's officially a bust, I may have been better off using the term major disappointment, but 950 yards sounds good until you get to the fact that he had nearly 270 carries in 15 games. The 11 touchdowns is impressive, but the fact that he only had 36 first downs in that many attempts is really bad.

Aside from fumble a few times, doubtful for McGahee.

This is a great move...for Cleveland. A first round pick for the most replaceable position on the field? You'd be foolish not to take that unless you've got AP, Charles, Lynch, or Foster, and even then, it'd have to be considered.

Browns fans can be angry all they want, but this team now has a loaded draft. They'll have plenty of chances to draft weapons for the QB position, and with so many selections, they've got no reason to not draft one of the QBs in this coming draft, unless Weeden really breaks out at some point this season.

Normally I'd agree, but they just spent the third pick in the draft on this guy not even two years ago, and they traded UP to get him.

I don't think this is a bad deal for either team, but one more year I would have given Richardson.

Getting a first for a player you don't believe in is always a good thing for that regime, but there were so many things they could've done with that fourth pick. We have the benefit of hindsight though, and I don't suppose anyone knew they would reshuffle the coaching staff a year later.

This does not make the Colts contenders. Don't start fooling yourselves. They'll be 1-2 after this weekend, anyway. They'll be lucky to make the playoffs, as the Texans are the Texans and the Titans are either much better or just having a bit of luck to start the season.

They have tools for the passing game, and they added a good runningback to be a little more two-dimensional.

I think it made them better.

We're going to draft Bridgewater with our pick, and Mariotta with the Colts pick. We will find our QB

I know it takes away a receiver or blocker, but as Louisiana-Monroe showed us last year, a 2 QB set offense could do real well, especially if both QBs are mobile, which Mariotta and Bridgewater are. Its like the read option, but its a lot more deadly potentially, because there are 4 options rather than 3 now.

Of course this is Cleveland, so that wont happen, but it wouldnt be an AWFUL idea. And you could just trade Bridgewater for a mid 2016 1st rounder

Imo Trent Richardson was one pick the Browns had made in the past 5+ years that I could stand behind and support. I don't like this move for them for multiple reasons. 1. The Browns were going to have a top 10 Pick in the draft anyways, quite possible a top 5. Therefore they could get their quarterback. 2. The Colts getting Richardson makes them a significantly better team, which means their first round pick is worth less than when they didn't have Richardson. I'm not saying superbowl, but I will go ahead and say that Imo they're going to take a wild-card slot if not be a contender at least. Yes Running Back is an easy hole to fill, draft wise, FA wise, etc. But I don't see a first round running back on the board. Richardson was. The Browns statistically are not good at drafting players, so why trade a god pick, for a shot at fucking up another pick? I dunno, I'm not in charge.

But who would've predicted Luck playing with Richardson one year after the draft?

Even though its probably smart to assume the picks will be fucked up, you can't hold prior regimes over the heads of the new guys, even though its a never ending shit cycle

Well of course it made them better, but they were a borderline .500 team before T-Rich. He doesn't make them that much better ,and he's had injury issues, as is.

1. I believe the safest pick in the draft -- beyond Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III -- is Alabama running back Trent Richardson. He's a blue-chip player and has all the skills to quickly establish himself as a top-five player at his position. Forget the nonsense about not taking backs early -- everyone would love the chance to get this guy.

What Michael Lombardi said about Trent Richardson before becoming the Browns GM.

Lombardi doesn't call the shots. He's Joe Banners puppet and the sole reason for the hire was to show the fans and media that he doesn't give a shit about outside perception. At least that's what i think cause Lombardi is a dope
