- Erixon has already signed a deal with the NYR, beating the 5 p.m. deadline. Big add for the Rangers. Believed to be NHL ready.
- CGY trades Tim Erixon and 5th rounder to NYR in exchange for Roman Horak and two second-round picks.
- Tim Erixon was dominant physical presence in game versus Team Canada at 2011 World Championship. Knocked a few Canadians around in that game
