Nets Get:
Brandon Jennings
Ersan Ilyasova

Pistons Get:
Thaddeus Young
Donald Sloan
Bojan Bogdanovic

The Nets need a PG after the departure of Deron Williams. Brandon Jennings is unhappy with his role in Detroit. Need I say more?

Pistons can easily replace Ilyasova with Young. Their bench, on the other hand, has been TERRIBLE. Adding a shooter Bogdanovic would certainly improve that terrible bench. And they need his three point shooting as they’ve been one of the worst shooting teams in the league. Donald Sloan can also help the Pistons since Steve Blake is not good enough to be a backup PG. Sloan has filled in Jarret Jack’s role perfectly in his short time as a starter in Brooklyn.

No Brandon Jennings is not unhappy. Trust me I read every single thing written in the Detroit sports media and he's been over the top team-first and understands his role leading the 2nd unit and loves this team

Also this makes ZERO sense for either team, the Nets aren't interested in a rental and the Pistons take an absolute step back here when they're contending for a playoff spot. The Pistons bench was only bad until Jennings came back, thus why they would not move him (and their starting PF)

Btw Stan Van Gundy has said multiple times he's not making any lateral moves... so he's definitely not making any moves that are a step back. You said it yourself, Steve Blake is not a 2nd string PG - and that's exactly why they're not moving Jennings

As always Panic, you're an idiot

Of course a player who's capable of starting is willing to play for just 18mpg in his contract year.

Come on Stray. You know better. He'll never say he's unhappy.

Look at Joakim Noah.

He knows the Pistons will pay him a fair salary to keep him if he doesn't get an offer anywhere else ... which he will. He's been amazing leading the 2nd unit/spelling Reggie and playing with the starting squad, perfect way for him to show he's back after his injury and rebuild his market value

10-13 since his return.

17-14 without him.

6.8ppg 3.0apg 37% shooting.

Yeah, not so amazing.

I'm not talking stats, I'm talking watching them every game and the absolutely 100% certain concrete (as agreed upon by all beat writers/fans) improvement of the bench unit and team overall with his return. But fwiw statistically, their two best lineups (in terms of +/- per 100 possessions) that have played in more than 5 games are both ones captained by Jennings

Anyway this conversation is pointless because neither of these teams would even consider this move
