I put Nash up there as 5B just because if he can keep this up for another 4 years, why not? He shoots like 50% from the field and 40% from 3pt range and a high FT%...

Always among the league leaders in APG, and points for a PG...

Back to back MVPs (whether he deserved them or not) certainly help the cause.

Yeah if he can go another 3/4 years then I would agree that he's a top 5 PG of all-time. I just wouldnt do it now.

i could live with some saying Oscar ahead of Magic, even though I may disagree, but how could anyone say Stockton over Robertson and Johnson?
thats crazy!

I think we should also make a current players list.

good idea

1. Chris Paul
2. Deron WIlliams
3. Tony Parker
4. Steve Nash
5. Chauncey Billups

Kidd is too old, Gilbert's always hurt. Chauncey and Baron are almost tied, but Billups gets the nod here

you guys mind explaining why you have Oscar ahead of Magic?
Oscar was great, but Magic has got to be the best PG ever. He revelutioninzed the game, dominated his position led his team to 5 titles, got 3 MVP's.
Oscar was great like I said, but he was never able to make his teammates better unlike Johnson.
Isnt that supposed to be a PG's greatest assest? Oscar would dominate the ball and at times his teammates got lost out there. thats why the Bucks never really succeeded.
IDK, Magic was the better PG. Both great players, but Magic did more

This thread is for best pg, not player.
indidvidually Oscar might be the better player, but he wasnt the better PG

Oscar was the best player to play point guard, thus making him the best PG.

Seems simple enough to me.

Magic's players were good with or without him... Abdul-Jabbar was an AS before he was there.. Worthy was an All-American, too..
I'm not saying he didn't revolutionize the game, but O did put up phenomenal individual #'s of any PG... if you went just by titles won, you would have to put Ron Harper in that group -- and there's no way I'm doing that

I think Deron Williams will be a top 10 pg when his career is over, that kid can stroke it and has something i just can't lock in on. He has something to him that shows me he's going to be a winner. He's so young and he isnt intimidated by anyone and will take the clutch shot, he's just fearless. He's going to be great.
