The Raiders have chosen offensive line coach Tom Cable as their new head coach, replacing Lane Kiffin.
Cable is a disciple of Alex Gibbs, the zone blocking guru. The team's run blocking has been Oakland's strength the last two years and Cable has head coaching experience at Idaho, going 11-35 from 2000-2003. Maybe he once stayed at old Raiders offensive coordinator Tom Walsh's bed-and-breakfast!
