Tim Lincecum - S - Giants

FOX Sports' Jon Paul Morosi reports that some teams are interested in Tim Lincecum as a reliever.

Morosi lists the Tigers as one of those clubs. Of course, the Giants are far from guaranteed to become sellers at the trade deadline, and they still have use for Lincecum as a starter. The 29-year-old right-hander is making $22 million this season before hitting free agency over the winter.

If we don't overpay, I would like it.

he's been bad but to acquire him as a reliever is dumb. He still can fix things and be a great starter again.

He just doesn't blow it past anyone anymore, maybe in a reliever role he'd regain some velocity.

But if you're going to do that might as well wait for free agency, he's not worth that much in any role.

9k/9 isn't bad at all. Plus his fip is around the mid 3's. obviously he hasn't been the same player that he used to be a couple of years ago but he can still give you quality innings. And like cheato said, he would be a very expensive reliever.

Quite the slap in the face to Lincecum.

Goes from winning back to back cy youngs to pitching from the pen. All before he hits the age 30.

He still looks like he's 18.
