RHP Chris Carpenter is the compensation for Theo Epstein.

LMAO @ the Red Sox fans that thought they would get something legit for a guy that we were given permission to talk to and offered a raise to. If you wanted to keep Theo so bad and think you deserve legit compensation, you shouldn't have given us permission to talk to him in the first place, if you didn't want to lose him.

Carpenter should be a solid piece out of the Sox bullpen though, he can get close to 100 MPH on the gun.

I personally agree. Carpenter was more than I wanted to give, I think he could have been a big part of our bullpen.
