Not sure you guys can snag it from the Bulls. Celtics, Magic, and Miami got 1-3 locked up.I'm hoping to see the Hawks get the 4th seed back in our grasp

Al_Iannazzone: Troy Murphy not at practice again and not going on the trip. Something tells me he's not sick, tho. Just waiting on a trade.
vgoodwill: #Pistons not practicing today...better to keep the media away while things shake itself out...btw, they play tomorrow
vgoodwill: Just a feeling: this trade HAS to happen today...you can't have 15 players twisting for this long...either Melo/Nugs want to do this or not
I didn't say it would be easy lolNot sure you guys can snag it from the Bulls. Celtics, Magic, and Miami got 1-3 locked up.
They'd have to pass the Magic. Divisional rules remember? Chicago is guaranteed to be at least the 4.I didn't say it would be easy lol
Nene is upset with all the focus the Nuggets have placed on Carmelo Anthony with his own future undecided, according to sources.
Like Anthony, Nene has an early termination option in his contract that could make him a free agent this coming summer.
Ken Berger of CBS Sports writes that Nene "has made a list of three teams he's interested in signing with or being traded to -- and not surprisingly, one of them is Miami, where his fierce interior presence would be the missing piece for the Heat."
Denver's stance has been to handle the Anthony situation first, but time is running out to sign Nene to an extension.
If Anthony and Chauncey Billups are traded, Nene is expected to push for a trade.
"The whole team is sick of the Carmelo thing," one source said. "They're sick of the distraction."
Carmelo Anthony said he doesn't know where he'll be traded and expressed concern about getting a contract extension signed before the new collective bargaining agreement is in place.
"At this point, I really don’t know," Anthony said about where he thinks he'll end up.
"New Jersey took that deal off the table. In order for me to consider them, I’d have to agree to the meeting. Now, it’s washed under the table," he continued.
He was asked if the options are strictly New Jersey, New York, Chicago and Denver.
"Yeah. But I really can’t say it’s just those, because I don’t really know (what could happen)," Anthony replied.
Said the writer to Anthony, "If they trade you somewhere, and you don’t sign the extension, you’re screwed." Then the writer quickly hedged by adding, "Well, not necessarily screwed." But Anthony agreed with the original assertion, smiling and repeating, "Screwed."
"There are a lot of things that come into play when you look at this situation," Anthony said. "The fact that they can send you wherever they want to. The fact that, wherever they send me, would I sign the extension there? It’s a lot of stuff I think about through all of this."
"I haven’t had any dialogue with (team executive) Masai (Ujiri) or anybody like that," Anthony said. "Usually I talk to Masai, but a lot of stuff has died down. I’m pretty sure they’ve been behind closed doors, doing what they do. But I haven’t talked to them personally."

based on what?Melo REALLY doesn't want to wait til offseason though. Because of the whole CBA thing.
what exactly isn't he cooperating with?Yeah, Carmelo is turning into a bigger diva than any of us pictured. Denver fans have every right to boo his ass. If he's not going to cooperate, at least he can finish out the season and then he'll be able to sign with whoever he wants.
i uh, i haven't really heard him say that....He made it clear during a season that he is only willing to play for the Knicks, that's being a diva.. He is only willing to play for one team in the NBA.
Carmelo Anthony has reiterated that it was the Nets that pulled the plug on a potential blockbuster trade that would have sent him to New Jersey.
"I really don't know what is their mind-set. I really don't know if they can come back, if they're willing to come back and say, 'Let's have a meeting,' or they're still interested," Anthony said Saturday. "Everything has died down."
Asked if he was saying that the Nets were still an option, Anthony said, "No. What I'm saying is they said they're out of this whole Melo-Drama."
Anthony also hinted that winning isn't the only factor in his decision on signing a contract extension.
"My decision on whether to stay or whether to leave is based on a lot of things," he said. "A lot of things come into consideration. That's my own things and thoughts that go through my head and things that I talk about with the team, with the front office, with my team. That's stuff that I pretty much keep in house with my rhyme and reason and the method to all the madness."
