I always forget that Jason Bay's contract was only 4/$66M. Still has to be worse than all of those.

Not a fan of Max Scherzer's weird contract, and I believe Crush Davis' as well. Big contracts and have to pay them in their 50's.

The deferrals make it worth like $40 million less or something in present value. So it buys value now.

Also it's 5 million short, but Sandoval's contract is probably the worst in the history of baseball.

People love to criticize deferrals, but these billionaire owners do it for a reason. They're not stupid.

This is the exact reason. It's all about PV versus FV. Especially when you are talking numbers that large, can easily make a good ROI before the deferrals
