Teddy, Bortles or Carr?

Last year's draft included a big 3 of quarterbacks, all of whom showed promise in their rookie seasons, though Bortles showed significantly less than the other two. Which of these QBs do you want today, and which do you want in the future?
 
As for me, I'll take Bridgewater today, mostly because he has the best overall supporting cast and by far the best defense. I also think his coaching is some of the best in the league, so as of right now, he's the most set up to succeed.
 
For the future, organizationally Bridgewater is the easy choice, but I prefer Bortles' skillset and size and think he'll still be the best of all 3. 
 
It was really hard to overlook Derek Carr in both scenarios, but as of right now Teddy is better and while I like the addition of Amari Cooper, I don't believe in the Raiders organization at all. It's hard to pick the Jags over the Raiders, but the Jags at least had a winning tradition of some sort (the Raiders' winning tradition goes back a decade or more, so it's all but gone) before they fell as hard as they did, and I think they're built to be much better in 2-3 years. The Raiders have some great pieces, but I don't trust them to sit and wait and allow a coaching staff to establish a culture. Carr could be the next QB to have however many OCs in however many years.

For now I'll stick with Bridgewater since I had him as QB1 in last year's draft. I think Carr could surpass him in the future but I'll stick to my guns.


Bortles is trash and won't ever be anything in this league. That pick is gonna cost some people with the Jags their jobs.

Carr is definitely a better deep passer, but intermediate up to 30 yards Teddy's got him pretty easily.

I'd take Carr now and in the future. I'm not a big Teddy fan due to his play against the Lions last year.

I think he'll be better this year against the Lions. The OL is mostly healthy, AP is actually behind him. He has receivers and TEs that you've actually heard of, now. Obviously, Carr didn't have much either, but Teddy had to throw the ball to Chase Ford and Rhett Ellison at the TE, and while Charles Johnson and Jarius Wright are pretty good receivers (Wright might be one of the most underrated splash players in the league), Johnson came over vastly unproven, and Wright had been a career backup who is now getting snaps with the first team. Teddy was otherwise throwing to a CP84 who couldn't run routes, and Adam Theilen. If you have any clue who Adam Thielen is, good for you.

Teddy present and future. He really impressed me considering the lack of weapons he had. Peterson will only be a benefit for the play action and he is more accurate than both Bortles and Carr. I always take the more accurate QB.

Ehh, Bortles definitely isn't getting anyone fired at this point, but he didn't play nearly as well as his numbers indicate last season.  
 
If the Jags had, say, the Rams receiving corp, Borltes likely throws 30 picks.

Carr is the QB I want now; Bortles for the future. Bortles is going to progress quick within the next 2 seasons. He's finally got a defense to play with and the O-line will get better.
 
As much as I love Teddy, this thread isn't about "best considering supporting cast."

I've always been a Teddy Bridgewater supporter, but definitely am highest on Blake Bortles. His size, strength and ability to run around and extend plays is crazy. I think the Jaguars made a tremendous pick when they snagged him.
