According to a story in Friday's edition of the New York Daily News: "A major factor in Tebow's push to come to New York over Jacksonville, his hometown, is that he sees a clear path to resuming his career as a starter, according to sources.

The Jags were not going to throw away a top pick at QB from just last year to start Tebow. Sanchez has been mediocre for 3 years. If he starts out horrible, there is a better chance of Tebow starting there.
