When a player is suspended, he should have to sit out games as soon as possible, in other words during the season it is handed out.  Carry-over suspensions are a bit silly.  Also, a person suspended for major infractions -- PEDs, drug/alcohol policy, criminal activity, dosmestic abuse, etal -- should not be able to show up to their team's minor league complex until the suspension is over.  They should be disqualified from all baseball activities until the suspension has been completely served.  As it is now, the player gets to play minor league games for a couple of weeks before the suspension is over.

I have always wondered why they get to go back to minors before the suspension is over. I agree catman.
