The Super Bowl is returning to Atlanta for Super Bowl LIII in 2019 and Super Bowl LIV will be played in South Florida. Los Angeles will host Super Bowl in LV in 2021.
Atlanta beat New Orleans by a majority vote among NFL team owners after the Falcons' bid failed to get super majority tally of 24 of 32 votes over the first two rounds of balloting. The Saints were only in the running to host Super Bowl LIII. They were not bidding for the other two games.
South Florida's renovated New Miami Stadium (temporary name; formerly Sun Life Stadium), was selected by majority vote over Tampa Bay to host the Super Bowl in 2020.
The NFL announced at the Spring League Meeting on Tuesday that Atlanta has won the right to host the game for the third time. This will be the first Super Bowl in Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which is under construction and scheduled to open as the new home of the Falcons in 2017.
NFL owners already determined the sites for Super Bowl LI (NGR Stadium, Houston) and Super BowlLII (U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis).
