I know it's against much weaker opponents, but Jesus Christ.

Wow, he's sick. I want to see him pitch. I always try to trade for him in the MLB The Show, he's straight up beast.

Yes. If there are any shenanigans, it's to slow down his arbitration clock. Generally, the better competition in the minors is in AA and he ripped through that without a problem and is doing the same in AAA.

He's ready, he's done exactly what you'd expect him to do with the Minors...tear it up. I think Strasburg is mature enough to handle the bigs in his rookie year. I wouldn't expect him to come out and dominate but I wouldn't be surprised if he did.

Then again, what the point of rushing him onto a big league field? Are the Nats a Stephen Strasburg away from winning the World Series in 2010? I think not.

I heard about that. If Schilling said that, then I am real interested to see this kid pitch now.

They're over .500 and are actually in the playoff race. Strasburg is tearing it up and can only help them and try to sustain their success.

Exactly. They need to get this guy on the roster while they're still in the race.

Lets be realistic here, its only May 13th. You don't actually expect teams like the Nationals, Reds, and Padres to still be competing for the post-season come August...do you?

Crazy things have happened.. The fact is they are in the race, and have played pretty well. I guess the Nationals should just tell their fans to stop attending games because they have no chance in the long run.

I wouldn't go that far but I am willing to bet that in a division featuring the Mets, Braves, and Phillies...the Nationals ain't gonna do sh1t.

Strasburg might be ready right now...but he'll have to prove himself against MLB competition. I think he can but we'll see.

As a baseball fan, I cant wait to see him in the majors and tear it up. As an NL East opponent that will likely see him for a very LONG time, I wish he stinks.

Yeah, lol.

If you're a fan of any team in the NL East, you hope he's a bust.

Same way with me and Suh, I hope he's a bust mostly because I wanted him to be a Buc so badly.

Really, you want any player to have a smooth as possible transition to the majors and the kid looks ready. Let him have a few more turns in the AAA rotation and see how he adjusts. Make him throw his pitches that he needs some additional work on. When he's promoted, let him work out of jams and do not demote him if he blows up a few times. I'm looking forward to seeing him in DC.
