he was never known as a floor general or looked at as a player who would be a coach, though. i think the phil live caused most of this hype.

mark and horn and possibly stockton were all thought highly of during their days and lead their respective teams.

Saying he shouldn't get the job because he's got no experience has nothing to do with race, whatsoever. What, should Mike Brown get the job over Kerr because hes black??

Mark Jackson wasnt a good coach

Phil wanted Kerr before MJax was even available

Joe Lacob seems to be a Mark Cuban, Steinbrenner, Jerry Jones type
Decided he'll match the knicks

No, but guys like Mike Woodson and Lionel Hollins could have been considered.

Some people with my argument mention Avery Johnson but I won't even go there. I think we all know that he's not a good coach, anyway.

Well, Mark Jackson shouldn't have been fired, so there's that. This job shouldn't even be fucking available.

Genuinely don't understand what he did to generate this much excitement over him coaching. I've never once listened to him commentate a game and think wow this guy is gonna be a great coach. To be fair I thought Mark Jackson being hired was a joke as well at the time. We'll see how it plays out.

I hope he lives up to all the hype he got this off-season. IDK why he was so sought after.

Im standing firm that Phil only wanted him becaus he could run that team through Kerr. Kerr would have done everything Phil wanted. Would have essentially been Phil coaching the team through Kerr but not having to physically coach the team.

Because there is really no other f-ing reason to go after Steve Kerr without any interviewing process with other candidates.

He said there were better PROVEN coaches.

Never mentioned Brown.

But Im happy he pulled the okie doke on Phil, bring in someone with experience, not just your little plastic toy, you can groom.

Lets go Mark Jackson..

Steve Kerr's hiring had nothing to do with race. They did the same thing with Mark Jackson three years ago.

If you want to talk about proven coaches, who would you go for? Think it's obvious SVG was higher up on their list but he turned them down. Mike Woodson is not a good coach. Lionel Hollins was involved in this but they went for Kerr instead.

Absolutely nothing to do with race. Move along.

"Proven" coaches is fancy word for previously fired coaches. Nothing proven about them in most cases, aside from their ability to get canned

Lionel Hollins wouldn't fit the Warriors roster at all

And can we stop talking about Mike Brown for open coaching positions? The man was blessed with LeBron James for years and that's the only reason why he's relevant.
