lolGoldenState. Dude's got experience, no credentials. They only wanted him because Phil wanted him.

Steve Kerr did a great job of convincing people that Steve Kerr is the best.

This dude with no coaching experience now has the pressure of outdoing the other dude before him who had no coaching experience either.

Can we just call this a white privilege case? That's not Kerr's fault, but you can't convince me the color of his skin had nothing to do with it.

You don't think the color of Steve Kerr's skin had ANYTHING to do with all the interest he garnered from seemingly nowhere?

I'm just saying, I don't think this would happen for an African American coach. Mark Jackson might be the only exception, and exceptions don't change anything.

As much as I hate the way guys like Wilbon and Stephen A. so quickly jump to racism, I would agree if either has mentioned this.

There are plenty of more qualified, proven African American head coaches on the market. Why is Steve Kerr sought after like a precious metal?

None of which speak to his coaching abilities. There's no basis with which to just give him a head coaching job.

I don't like jumping to the idea that racism is involved, but we've had three teams calling his name with proven coaches on the market. Makes no sense and could actually set back and organization if he flops.
