It's pretty shitty to lose Tulloch, he's very adequate and a top 100 NFL player. I feel bad for the guy because he's never missed a game in a long career, and now he's a laughing stock since he blew out his knee while discount double checking Aaron Rodgers. He's just a victim of being a Lion. He's now Lionized.
Luckily the guy who will take over Tulloch's role is a superstar in the making in DeAndre Levy. But still, the LB depth didn't need this.
I honestly can't even be mad at him for it. Same thing every NFL player does, some stupid celebration.
I think Levy will be better than Tulloch is playing the position. The question is if Whitehead can play well seeing more downs and playing the position Levy did. Ashley Palmer who was a mediocre starter last season will be the third LB, but they will have only two LBs on the field most of the time anyways considering the nickle packages today's NFL forces defenses to run.
If Van Noy can recover soon and be impactful, that can help the LB core, but really I'm still a lot more concerned about the secondary and the nickle package than I am about what just happened to the LB core.
