Good news for the Nats, as their ace of the future’s rehab from Tommy John surgery continues apace.

Stephen Strasburg threw fastballs at full speed for the first time since he went down last year — 20 in all — and told the assembled sporting press than he felt great afterward. Of course it’s touch and command — not so much arm strength — that takes the longest in a TJ rehab.

Either way, Strasburg should be ready to go full speed next spring. For Davey Johnson or whoever is calling the shots in the Nats’ dugout.

Still disappointed Strasburg didn't get to pitch this season. Can't wait to see him over the course of a full season.

He'll definitely be a great addition to that rotation once he gets back, especially since the Nats are mediocre as they used to be.

He will wreck like he used to

It's scary to think of the Nats for the near future. They are an alright team with the guys they have right now, all that young talent. Adding Strasburg back with Bryce Harper coming soon, assuming he'll be even half as great as expected. That's somewhat of a scary thought.

Lets hope he'll still be as good as he was before this surgery. Never know but I'm sure he will be fine. He's a machine!
