Saw this on another forum and though it looked cool. Basically I will start with a random team and the next poster will say a player they would steal from that team for their own team. The following poster then says a player that they would steal from the above poster and so on.

Try to give a logical reason as to why you would steal that player.

Only for this post will there be a random team. Use your own team throughout. You can post as many times as you want in the thread. Once a player has been stolen, that player cannot be stolen again. At the end we will compare teams and see who has the best. You can also steal a player that someone has stolen from someone else. We'll stop this after 5 pages (if it reaches that high).

Random Team: Houston Astros

Gives the Tigers another option on the infield if/when Peralta gets suspended for PEDs.

Justin Verlander

I'm not huge on Scherzer, so I take Verlander instead. And I know Miggy is a beast, but we don't really need a 3B or a 1B (Iglesias and Napoli). I'll take the extra pitching, and when Clay comes back for the playoffs, a Verlander-Buchholz-Lester is a fearsome trio

mets need a SS badly and he'd be the future for us to start making our middle IF much better.

Matt Harvey.

What a rotation that would make. Harvey-Buchholz-Lester. Wright would be nice, but we got Igelias and Middlebrooks on that side of the infield.

BTW if two people have the same favourite team, each person is doing their own individual team. For example Pedroia could be picked from both me and Bosox.

Clay Buchholz

The Cubs could really use some help in the bullpen, but a guy like Buchholz is a is too hard to pass up when you have pitching needs like Chicago.

Starlin Castro.

Move Castro to 2B and I got my middle IF locked up for a few years on cheap contracts.

BTW I'm a bit thrown off by this:

Does that mean I can steal a player from someone else, but I can't steal back a player that was once on my team?

I'm going to be adding a chart to this to keep track of who everyone takes and has taken from them so no one can take a player twice or something.

Max Scherzer

Because he'd instantly be the ace on what has been a gong show of a rotation.

Middlebrooks

Jays lack youth. Will still has a high upside and good power. I'd stick Lawrie at 2nd.

Bautista. Great slugging 3B to replace Wright or to play OF which my team desperately needs.

I'd take Prince, because I can't take Miggy lol.

Not only will he love hitting in Yankee Stadium but he actually knows how to stay on the field.
