People will have plenty of chances to see Popovich look unhappy for 2 hours. Cavs prob gonna bust out that court projecting shit they used for Z's jersey retirement in the home opener. That's worth it alone.

Cavs @ Heat will be a huge ratings draw whenever they play. They don't wanna blow that load on the opening night.

I meant Heat @ Cavs. LeBron going back to Miami is one of those games they save for Christmas.

I bet not as much if it's played in like January. The Miami return storyline is bigger

The Cavs are gonna get viewers whoever they play anyway.

I think the opening night game in general for them will have huge ratings, as long as they don't play a team like the Bucks.

Give them the Clippers or something and call it a day. I'd rather see Cleveland and San Antonio on Christmas.

The Cavs rivals from the LeBron era all suck now, so really it doesn't matter who they play on marquee dates. The only one remaining is the Wizards, but they're basically the same level mediocre shit they were back then too.

But really, we can't be out there playing the Magic, Celtics & Pistons on the big dates for ratings

They all lacked motivation since they had to stop taking turns knocking out the Cavs and crushing the hopes of Cleveland year in and year out.
