Dammit Monta didn't make the AllStar again
I think the guys that didn't make the Western team could beat the guys that made the Eastern team reserves.I hope Chandler Parsons has a legitimate All Star chance in the near future. I'd take him over some of the East guys, honestly. At least from the "moving forward" perspective.

The coaches would vote first though because of name, that I will admit.
You are the only person that I've heard say Dirk was more deserving, I even heard a Maverick fan say Dirk didn't deserve to be in over Davis. I wonder if Anthony wasn't a Pelican how you would feel? And you could take Dirk tomorrow, I'd prefer to have the better player. You would probably be the only person to argue that as well. It's not even an argument who the better player is.
And Dirk is the sole reason why Dallas is the 8th seed right now? He's single handily carried them to that 8th seed? That alone tells me you don't have the first idea what you're talking about. Have you watched them at all this season? I'd also argue that while he has been very good offensively, he isn't having the year you seem to think he's having.

I'm not discrediting that at all, but their roster is made up of a bunch of free agent rentals? Come on. Aside from Dirk they have Monta Ellis, Shawn Marion, Vince Carter, Jose Calderon, Brandon Wright, Samuel Dalembert, Devin Harris, Dejuan Blair, and Jae Crowder. All good veterans that teams would love to have on their roster. And Monta Ellis is playing better ball now than he has over the last few seasons.Dallas' roster for the most part is a compilation of free agent rentals. Being a playoff team in the West is an accomplishment no matter what seed you are, you either fail to recognize that or you're trolling.
People sleep on Dirk because he played through injury last year and his numbers fell off. He's back and putting up better numbers than he did the year he led the Mavs to a championship. Just because you didn't see this type of year coming doesn't mean he shouldn't be an all-star.
I wanted to say this as well but left it out. Rick Carlisle is the MVP of that team each and every season. That Mavericks roster is not a West playoff team without Rick Carlisle coaching them .
nolafan33 said:And then to say he's putting up better numbers now than he did the season they won it all? That's not even remotely true.
Just because they're comparable doesn't mean you can't choose which is better, and anyone that has their correct prescription glasses or contacts in would see that Dirk is not having a better season. Besides, you yourself said he was putting up better numbers this year, which is "way off base." He shot better that season, he drew more fouls that season, he rebounded better, he played better defense.CameronCrazy06 said:Someone needs to look at the numbers a little closer. Whether you think they're better or not, they're VERY comparable, so to say it's "not even remotely true" is way off base.
You're either an idiot or just trolling at this point, I'm not going to waste my time with you anymore.CameronCrazy06, on 30 Jan 2014 - 10:31 PM, said:

Aside from his dwindling offensive rebound rates and a slight drop in usage, Nowitzki's 2013-14 campaign is virtually indistinguishable from seasons that brought him an MVP (2005-06) and a championship and Finals MVP (2010-11). That's remarkable for a player who will celebrate the 15th anniversary of his NBA debut (Feb. 5, 1999) next month.
I'm leaning a little more towards just being an idiot, but oh well.
