Well he'd have made the same amount had he been fired in the traditional sense during the season. 
It's just that one firing occures during the duration of his contract, the other one after it's been completed. In the end he's not getting renewed, everything else is semantics.

I love how we are talking about the semantics in relation to Byron Scott lol

The Lakers dont want him and are justified, he literally set the Lakers back by not playing the young kids more frequently

You need to understand the front office aspect of this. The lakers needed to lose a lot in order to get in a position to keep their pick.
