Sacramento Kings Reportedly Discussed DeMarcus Cousins Trade With Phoenix Suns
The latest DeMarcus Cousins trade rumor.
The Sacramento Kings are on pace to miss the playoffs for the 11th straight season which means the DeMarcus Cousins trade rumors are bound to surface again as we approach the NBA's trade deadline on February 23rd.
One unlikely candidate that has reportedly discussed interest in a DeMarcus Cousins trade with Sacramento is the Phoenix Suns, who currently have the worst record in the Western Conference at 15-33.
According to Arizona Sports' John Gambadoro, the Kings have had discussions with the Suns about dealing Boogie Cousins although Phoenix isn't looking to part ways with either Eric Bledsoe or Devin Booker, their two most coveted assets.
Instead, Sacramento would be taking on some combination of Alex Len, TJ Warren and a bunch of draft picks.
That's not exactly a great return for arguably the best big man in the game, but Cousins is due to become a free agent after the 2017-18 season (unless he's given that reported $200 million contract extension) so the Kings may be willing to entertain any offers for their 3x All-Star.
That said, there has to be better offers out there if the Kings are truly ready to trade Boogie, right?
