Former Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo, asked about the monster, seven-player trade that saw Rudy Gay dealt to Sacramento, said the Kings have improved their talent leveL.


“I put a high premium on talent and character, and Rudy Gay has an abundance of both,” Colangelo told the Sacramento Bee.


“Obviously, Pete (D’Alessandro) has a mandate to increase the talent level of his team as opposed to depleting it. This move is a pretty good indication of that.”


In January, Colangelo, then Toronto GM, acquired Gay from Memphis Grizzlies in a package that included Jose Calderon and Ed Davis. It was a deal that was widely regarded as a salary dump by the Grizzlies.


Colangelo was dumped as Raptors GM in May and replaced by Masai Ujiri.


The latest trade by Ujiri is also seen as another salary dump.

Doesn't admit to his wrongs. Did that trade to try and save his job. His firing should have came a little earlier than it did.
 

 
On another note, they've arrived in Toronto, I wonder where Vasquez is though lol. Salmons arrives in Toronto after signing in Sac 6 years ago because God told him Sacramento was a better choice than Toronto lol.

At the top of a short list of great players you absolutely can't win titles with, only 'Melo challenges Rudy Gay.
 
At least a team has a chance if they pair someone with Melo. Gay dominates the ball too much, wastes too many possessions, and is very very stupid, in other words, bad turnovers at bad times.
