ESPN.com - Aaron Rodgers is shrugging off Brett Favre's assessment of his success.

Rodgers would rather talk about the accomplishments of his Packers teammates than dwell on what his predecessor thinks.

"I'm just going to say that I was really proud of our team," Rodgers said. "It takes 53 guys to win a championship and we had the right recipe last year and we're trying to do the same thing this season."

In a radio interview with Atlanta's 790 The Zone, Favre made remarks that could be interpreted as a subtle attempt to minimize Rodgers' achievements.

Typical Brett Favre just has to hate on everybody else and make it about him....

And this is typical Aaron Rodgers, being the humble dude and ignoring Favre entirely.

If you guys actually read what Favre said, you would understand why Rodgers shrugged them off... What he said was hardly even negative at all.

“I’m going to be honest, I was not surprised," Favre said, via SportsRadioInterviews.com. "The biggest surprise to me would be that he didn’t do it sooner."

"He’s got tremendous talent, he’s very bright and he got a chance to watch and see successful teams do it right," Favre continued to say about Rodgers. "And so he just kind of fell into a good situation.

Exactly, I think people are taking Favre's comments the wrong way.

It's Brett Favre, of course they're being taken the wrong way. He will never say anything that isn't scrutinized.

Favre didn't need to say anything at all. It's just Brett Favre only caring about Brett Favre, as usual.

Favre Miffed Over Reaction To Comments On Rodgers

ESPN.com - Brett Favre said Friday that he was upset over all the negative reaction to the comments he made about former teammate and current Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers earlier this week.

Favre said he was sincerely praising Rodgers when he said "the biggest surprise to me would be that he didn't (win a Super Bowl) sooner" and that Rodgers "just kind of fell into a good situation."

Favre said he believes the quotes have been taken out of context.

"Nothing, for the most part, surprises me anymore," Favre told USA Today. "But I have to admit (the reaction to) this one surprised me."

I dislike Favre, but people are idiots if they take this as something negative. Simple as that really.
