Ahh, what a journey it has been. Remember Maple hitting this plateau, and thinking he was out of his damn mind to be able to post this much on this damn site. And now, I'm that same nerd hitting that same plateau. It's fucked up to think I hit the reply button 50 thousand times. Imagine how many novels I've written with all my combined words I have said on this website lol.
Shits been good here. Came on this site in 2006, as a n00b looking for NBA Live CAPS. Look at me now ha. When I first got into this site, I made it my goal to make the GFX team, and I did. I guarantee there is only a handful of people here that know I was once on the GFX squad here lol. Was also part of the Article Team/SI Enquirers. Which only a handful of people will know what the Enquirers were. Good fucking times. Back in the days when I would constantly go at it with cb4_raps and lakerfan. I remember telling cb4 once that I would meet him anywhere and beat the shit out of him, for talking trash about my girlfriend at the time. This was likely my darkest time on the site lmao. Or how bout the days when me and CC had the biggest rivalry on the website. I think most of you guys signed in just to watch me and him constantly go at it about the Pistons and Magic. Or the "n00b Day-Care" that consisted of Pugz and Greg lmaooooo. They were pretty pissed that I did that, but it was funny as hell to me. Also the countless times I've left this website, just to come back a few days/weeks later. No matter what the reason was, I always came back to the site. This is my family. I've seen and went through so much stuff on this forum, and it's funny cause I accomplished everything I did before the age of 18. I think it really took me a while when I was a n00b here to tell everyone how old I really was. I thought they would ban me because I wasn't old enough to sign up for the website lol. It's really crazy how much I've grown up over the years, and the fact that this website has seen me through it all. Fucked up that I joined in middle school, and I'll be off to college here in a few months, and was on here damn near everyday through all of that. I've accomplished a lot of shit here. MVP, NBA Sim title, HOF, Admin, etc. Glad I can finally add 50k to that resume.
Major shoutout to those who really got me started here, and in forums in general. For starters, without sheed I probably never stumble across this website. We were both looking for NBA CAPS and he directed me to this website. Maple & slpnsld for having the killer proboards website, Dribblin' and Passsin', that is the first website I actually posted on. Once I got into the groove there, I decided to post on SI as well. So mad props for that site to get me where I am today. To Kraig, for making me a moderator. He really drived my activity here by doing that. Once I became a mod, I needed to become a G-Mod, and then eventually an Admin. Just drove me to be the best member I could. He also created the site, without him none of us would even be reading this hah. jarrod for basically just being there through everything. He is the rock to this website, without him we would of fell apart eventually. He has kept his faith in me, and I thank him for that. Lastly, TYO. Just for being my dude for over the years. I consider you a brother pretty much. Remember when you first started posting here, I just thought you were some ghetto kid always talking bout rap in the CT haha. Truly honored that we have become such good friends.
Just want to give a shoutout to all those forgotten SI members that have gone AWOL. All the boys from back in the day, when SI was becoming the established website it is today. Lot of guys on this site that I really do miss a lot.
Also just a general shoutout to all my boys currently on the site. You know who you are. You guys are what keeps me signing into this website everyday. I've made some killer friends here. I wish I had the opportunity to chill with a couple of you guys one day.
