BREAKING NEWS: The NHLPA has denied the current NHL realignment plan. The realignment has been put on hold and will not take place in 2012-13.

The NHL apparently wasn't very clear on their terms and the PA just requested that they be more specific and more clear. The NHL, for what ever reason, just came out and shut it down.
