Free agent Terrell Owens (ACL surgery) has reportedly told "several people in the NFL" that he is considering retirement.
CBS Sports' Mike Freeman cautions that this doesn't necessarily mean T.O. is ready to hang 'em up, but insists "he's told people in the sport he's considering it." Freeman also "doubt(s) Owens can ever be good again." If this is indeed it for Owens' career, the 37-year-old would finish second all-time in receiving yards, tied with Randy Moss for second all-time in touchdown catches, and fifth in receptions. Owens has been to six Pro Bowls and is a five-time first-team All Pro. Without the "baggage," he's a no-brainer first-ballot Hall of Famer.

It's kind of surreal picturing the NFL without T.O for me for some reason. It'll be interesting what he decides, though.

He still did pretty good last year on a horrible team with a bad qb. 72 Receptions for nearly 1000 yards aint that bad.

Owen's agent Drew Rosenhaus was just on SportsCenter. He said the reports of Owens retiring are NOT true & that he will be ready to go once the NFL season gets underway and he thinks a team or teams will take the chance on him.

He's still a good WR, no reason to retire.
