Report: Peyton Manning used HGH in 2011 recovery

A clinic in Indianapolis allegedly supplied human growth hormone, which is banned by the NFL, to current Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, according to a special report done by Al Jazeera (h/t the Huffington Post).

The report claims Manning used the banned substance during his recovery from neck surgery in 2011, which forced him to miss the entire NFL season.

The HGH and other drugs were mailed to Manning’s wife, Ashley, so that the quarterback wouldn’t attract any negative publicity.
Manning is just one of several high-profile athletes who is mentioned in the report, which airs on Sunday.

Here comes the shit storm.

Pharmacist who claims Peyton Manning took HGH recants, now saying he “Made it all up”

ESPN has reached out to, now infamous, pharmacist Charlie Sly on Saturday night. Sly told Al Jazeera America that HGH was given to Peyton Manning and many other American athletes when he worked for the Guyer Institute in Indiana.

In the most recent ESPN report, Charlie Sly said that he was a student intern at The Guyer Institute in 2013, but not in 2011, which is what he told Al Jazeera.
“I was trying to determine whether this guy (Liam Collins, the reporter) was legitimate or just trying to steal some knowledge about the business,” said Sly. “He had been talking about how he could get players from the Premier League. I was testing his knowledge so I dropped names like Peyton Manning, Derek Jeter, Ryan Howard and James Harrison and none of those guys were clients.”

The story becomes even more believable when Sly talks about how the interview was secretly recorded without his knowledge. He told ESPN, “When I realized Al Jazeera was using a secret taping and Collins as a so-called investigative reporter, I was baffled. I cannot believe that can happen. That’s why I recanted the story. It wasn’t true and I was trying to pull one over on Collins to see if he had any idea of what he was talking about.”
So far Manning denies it and now so does the pharmacist. It’s safe to say that this story is far from dead though.

The Brady/Manning debate died several years ago.
In who's favor? I'm not saying Tom isn't better but didn't Peyton win at least one MVP with the Broncos?
