Old management's signing. Easier to just DFA. Guess something will be in the works since he won't count against the luxury tax anymore.

Same old story every year, comes back to camp is mildly better shape, continues to disappoint when it comes to actually playing.

I mean...he hasn't been great since he was what, 25? Since then, including SF, he's always been a .280 / 15 hr guy. Great leader? Maybe, I wouldn't know, but nothing special. They spent a lot of money on him.
