1. The Vikings, as a team, will not perform with Christian Ponder at quarterback. He was bad, but his teammates didn't even try. It was sickening to watch. It definitely would have mattered if the team would have put forth something of an effort to help the poor bastard out.
 
2. That Cowboys offensive line. Wow.
 
3. The Ravens offense is embarrassingly bad, in some games. I mean, seriously, how do you shit the bed against the Colts?
 
4. Brian Hoyer is not going to give up the Cleveland job. For possibly several seasons.
 
5. The most likely thing to get in Seattle's way of repeating--their lack of discipline. Stupid penalties all over the place. If they'd been playing a better opponent on Monday, they'd have lost. This team has to clean it up, because most of their penalties are completely unnecessary.
 
6. Todd Haley is not fit to run an NFL offense. There are no excuses for Pittsburgh's struggles on that side of the ball. 
 
7. Bobby Wagner might be the best defensive player not named JJ Watt. The guy just flies around the field. So fun to watch.
 
8. The Cowboys simply cannot survive without Rolando McClain. They need to keep him healthy. Without him, their defense implodes. 
 
9. Where's Toby Gerhart when you need him to truck Greg Jennings? Oh, that's right. He's in Jacksonville. Doing absolutely nothing. 
9b. Will the Vikings make Greg Jennings play special teams if he falls down the depth chart? I'd love to see that arrogant bastard getting run over by good returners.

1. The fine to Thomas on the chop block to Campbell was a joke! $8600? That's like $80 fine for us normal folk. Doesn't do anything to steer players away from doing that anymore.

2. Russell Wilson is a legit QB. Guy knows how to play and make something out of nothing.

Maybe not, but do you really want Manziel in there, at this point?

Hoyer deserves praise, he's making proper reads, moving the ball downfield, putting up points. However, he still misses easy throws too oftenand while he has hit guys deep down field, it just doesn't look sustainable, as on those deep throws you can notice that he almost always has to throw with every ounce of arm strength and it looks like a prayer, as opposed to the effortless tosses you'll see from most good/great QBs.

Also, it has to be noted that he's playing behind statistically the best offensive line in football [Our rookie 2nd round guard Joel Bitonio is out performing a sure fire hall of famer (Joe Thomas) and an all-pro (Alex Mack), and the other two linemen have been stellar as well], and the Browns have three above average running backs. The receivers on paper look bad but they've been consistently getting open, which I'll chalk up to Shannahan's system, but Hawkins is talented and Gabriel has shown promise. I think the Browns have the least amount of drops in the league.

Again, I'm not dismissing what Hoyer has done, as he has been instrumental in the vast improvements of the offense. His ability to run a no huddle offense consistently is highly valuable. He's a smart guy, but I don't see enough yet. I'm interested in seeing how he looks with Gordon in the fold.

But I'd like to see Manziel at some point when we fall out of the playoff picture, because I want to see if I can notice some kind of pro potential in him, because there are a few high quality QBs in this draft, and it might be the Browns last chance to take one at the top of the draft for a while. I don't want to be stuck as a middle team because we don't have that dynamic QB who can bail everyone out.

Is the Steelers D really Haley's fault? I'm not defending him per se but Polamalu looks old and Like Taylors been out. In addition their LB corps is so young and inexperienced. Not necesarilly saying Haley is doing a good job...but are we certain its his fault?

My three favorite rookies, pre-draft, have been 3 of the best rookies in the league so far

Fuller, Bitonio, Mack.

1. Anthony Barr is playing the best out of all defensive rookies, so far. Kyle Fuller has made more splash plays, but from a down-by-down basis, Anthony Barr has been superior. If you get a chance to watch Minnesota, keep an eye on the kid. 

This will likely change when Clowney returns.

Very debatable. Mosley's on a great defense.
 
Easier to play well with better pieces in front of, around, and behind you.

JJ Watts is a beast and is probably the first player that I can remember that has improved after a major contract signing.  Most if not all players that sign huge contracts always seem to digress.

Anthony Barr is playing better on a play by play basis than Kyle Fuller. Mosley, Barr, and Mack are all better players. A few interceptions shouldn't have Fuller in this discussion.

Are you guys all "watching film" and breaking all of the shit down and all of that? I just sit in the chair and watch the football games and Kyle Fuller balls out of control. He plays the most important defensive position in this NFL, in my opinion, and he's ALWAYS around the ball. The guy has All-Pro CB career written all over him.

And his little brother will probably be better.

He does a lot more than "gets a few interceptions". He shut down Benjamin last week, and he shut down Boldin as well. He didn't have a great game versus GB, but thats really it.
