not gonna bother quoting anything since it's all twitter stuff.

Sounds like OF Anthony Gose and/or a catcher will be involved.

in other news, I hate my team.

Anthony Gose sucks, so it better be D'Arnaud.

Gose is raw as fuck. He could be a very valuble piece if he learns how to hit.

He's a knuckleballer man. He can pitch well into his 40's.

If i'm trading a cy young winner, regardless of age, I want more than "if he learns how to hit".

And Dickey may be 38 but he hasn't thrown a lot of innings for someone who is 38.

honestly, i just don't want to see d'arnaud go. i'd be fine with trading gose + other prospects for r.a.

There is no way I'd trade a highly regarded prospect for Dickey.

I'm a bit on the iffy side of getting Dickey. On one hand, him in the rotation could make the Jays a scary team, but would D'Arnuad be worth it?

The guy's ceiling is pretty high and to add to that they might be giving up a guy who has the potential to be a number 2 starter in Syndergaard .AA has always been good at judging prospects though, so maybe he sees something in D'arnaud that he doesn't like idk.

The trade has been agreed upon. Blue Jays and Dickey have a 72 hour contract extension window. If they can't agree the trade doesn't happen.

Exactly my thinking.

AA sees that his team keeps missing the playoffs and the owner is probably breathing down his neck to win.

AA could have signed a solid FA SP without giving up any assests.

Dickey signs extension. 2 years $25M total. I'm gonna miss him.

Jays rotation is gonna be good but some more bullpen depth would be great. Mets got some really good prospects in return as well.

Can't wait to see the Jays ... and hopefully see Dickey with the same success as this year .

Jays are just going to sell seats this year, way too much pressure on some players, who haven't really proven before that they can handle it, for them to have a lot of success this year.
