How awesome would it be for Albert Pujols to join the Cubs and help them win their first World Series since 1908, beating the Cardinals on the way?

Ehhh... I've learned my lesson with LeBron. I'm not getting my hopes up, hopefully Pujols's just doesn't do The Decision 2.0.

I read somewhere that he tackled that exact question and said he wouldn't do it (the decision 2.0), so that's a good sign.

Very good sign. LOL

Means he isn't going to take his talents to south beach to play for the Marlins.

He would make more money than the entire Marlins roster. I think Pujols will stay as well, but there are many attractive teams that will be looking for his services. Maybe if the Angels and Dodgers jump in, those are 2 teams that could be interesting because if you think about it, the Cardinals dont have much without Pujols and that team is getting old again without many prospects coming up in the system to go at it for 1 more run. The Cardinals would also be very handicapped with the contract they would give Albert.

30M for a 32 year old is nuts
ARod got his contract because he was a SS, and oh yeah, he was juicing
im not saying Pujols didnt juice, but he's not juicing today. who knows how he'll hold up a few years from now. im guessing he wont be like Bonds in his late 30's though
hell, look at Manny since 08

cards will keep him, and in a few years regret the contract, but they absolutely have to do it. it's what they get for giving holliday so much money

Erm...when A-Rod signed his record contract, the second one, he was a 3B and wasn't juicing...

Cardinals would survive without him if it comes down to letting him go. They're always good.

the first contract was the principle
ARod opted out to get more money. no way he was going to take less than what he already had. no way they let him test the market in case some team lured him in after that monster year
